5 Reasons Why You Should Love Nerina Pallot

Now, we'll forgive you (but our freindship will be forever dampened) if you've never heard of Nerina Pallot. The Jersey born singer/songwriter has actually been in action since the early 2000's however her debut album 'Dear Frustrated Superstar' sadly seemed to slip under everyone's radars (on mah RADAH...sorry, lapsed into Britney, IT HAPPENS!) However, by the time her sophomore effort was ready to be unveiled -four years, a re-release and a house remortgage later -Nerina began to enjoy some much deserved success with lead single 'Everybody's Gone To War'.

Its unusual title and guitar driven backing track combined with some clever, controversial lyrics (anti-war sentiments such as 'Everybody's gone to war/but we don't know what we're fighting for) and Ms Pallot's crystal clear vocals made 'Everybody's...' her biggest hit to date and paved the way for her gold selling second album 'Fires' to garner nominations at both the Brit awards and the Ivor Novello's! (not to mention making it one of my favourite albums of 2006!)

This week, Nerina's third album 'The Graduate' has been released, accompanied by the poppy first single 'Real Late Starter' and bunny-themed artwork. From what I've heard so far, Nerina seems well on her way to making this one of My Fave Albums of 09(tm) Hopefully this may have convinced some of you lovely people to check her out, she seems to be a lovely lady and has some brilliant songs, however if you need some more convincing...

5 REASONS WHY YOU NEED NERINA PALLOT IN YOUR LIFE
1.) 'Fires' and 'Dear Frustrated Superstar' are two examples of pop perfection.
2.) Her twitter's are humorous, including such gems as;
'We are leaving an hour late because I had a domestic incident. Does anyone know what stops the smell of dog pee? Thank you very much'
3.) She's dressed as a bunny on the album cover of 'The Graduate' (of the fluffy kind mind, not the Playboy variety) WHAT MORE COULD YOU WANT?!
4.) She's a bit lovely.
5.) THIS.
