BRB

I will be going away for a few days so unless I can rustle me up a computer there will be a lack of posts until I return! But thankyou very much for all coming to the site, I love doing it so much so thankyou thankyou thankyou :)

Here are some mysteries of life for you to wonder upon whilst I am away...

If a tree falls in a wood, and there is no-one around to hear it, does it make a sound?

Where does Beyonce's weave start and her real hair begin?
How come everytime you come around, Fergie's London London Bridge wanna' go down like?
If you get through those, just stare at the nice picture of Britney for a while. Or watch this...

Wowza!

And here, courtesy of Britney fansite WorldofBritney, is the first look at the BritBrit's photoshoot with Elle magazine's December issue! Britney's done far too little photo-shoots during this campaign, it almost seems strange to see photos of her that aren't from that Mark Liddell shoot which has been used for practically everything except the album artwork!

She looks amazing, I'd like to think Photoshop didn't have TOO much of a hand in it but either way it's still a stunning image of her!

REPEAT UPDATE: The image is fake! CARRY ON ABOUT YOUR DAILY BUSINESS.

Timbaland's Shock Value 2 Official Cover!

Above is the official album cover for Timbaland's brand new follow-up to 2007's 'Shock Value'. The album (inventively titled Shock Value 2) will be released next month and will be lead by the track 'Morning After Dark' featuring French singer SoShy AND Nelly Furtado, who was added in this week to help bolster its performance on American radio! Someone's been taking style tips from Justin eh Mr. Timbaland?

Ya gonna' buy it?

Oh please...

Media regulator and personal therapist to the ever whining nation Ofcom have reportedly received a number of complaints following Cheryl Cole and Whitney Housten's performances on Sunday's X Factor results show.

Apparently, 32 people (shit! do some damage control Simon -hah!) put the effort in and picked up the dog and bone (phone, people, that'll be a phone - Cockney rhyming slang guv'ner!) to complain that the pairs performance's (which were billed as live) were in fact mimed. Or shit(which they were not)

Further complaints even cited Whitney's admittedly odd behaviour during the mini post-performance interview as a source of distress (cue reaction shots of people fainting)

Seriously people... just bitch on a forum like the rest of us if you're that greived!

Lily writes a for song for Britney

According to various Lily Allen and Britney Spears fansites, Lily has told Elle magazine's November issue that she has penned a track for Britney's next project! WOOP!

align="center">
She has reportedly (let's wait for the issue before we print our 'Lily + Britney 4eva' T-shirts eh?) been quoted as saying...

“I Love her, she's the Queen of Pop. I wrote a song for her next album... But I can't say more.”

Exciting if true! If only for the fact that Britney's already thinking about a folloup to 2008's 'Circus' Please leave any references to your child's oral hygiene at the door this time BJS!

R.I.P to Lady Gaga's video dog

:(

Sad stuff! One of the things that became a staple of Lady GaGa's often brilliantly erratic music videos was the inclusion of two Great Dane's who made their 'acting debut' in the 'Poker Face' video and subsequently went on to star in both the 'LoveGame' and 'Paparazzi' promos. However anyone hoping for them both to turn up in the video for upcoming single 'Bad Romance' are going to be unfortunately dissapointed as one of the poor dogs was found dead earlier this month!

The five year old Great Dane Rumpus (right in the photo apparently)was discovered after a hike in Los Angeles with his owner Suzzane Kelleher-Duckett who said he had been in 'perfect health' and that there were 'no signs of injury' An autopsy has been performed and results are expected soon!

Rumpus' mother Lava will still appear in the Bad Romance video clip

Sad times. Make a statement GaGa!

A Few Details of Britney's '3' video shoot

Whilst we're all sat twiddling our thumbs waiting for the promo for Britney's number one single '3', stylist GK Reid who worked on the shoot revealed a few little details about Britney's behaviour on set. But don't worry ya'll it's all good! No picking up dog turd with designer dresses!

Of Britney on the set he said: 'She exhibited amazing energy and was in great shape - her body looked better than it has in years - she munched on sushi instead of junk food.'

And apparently it was a blue moon that night! 'She even sang live with the words. She worked really hard and was really sweet to all the dancers.'

We want this video!

Rihanna's 'Russian Roulette' (that's alliteration that is)

In short, it's a little dissapointing.

The song ,'Russian Roulette', is a slow, haunting ballad, the opposite to what most were expecting (a clubtastic poptastic dancetastic tastictastic tasticfest) and is decent enough Rihanna material but it just doesn't feel like 'lead single from important follow-up album' material to us.

The song is lyrically everything you'd expect from a song with such a title ('pull the trigger 'and 'take the gun' being two notable examples) but sonically is very different, bringing together funny little pained Rihanna breathy sounds, gunshots and revolver wheel sound effects as well as a head bopping rock drumloop.

Props to Princess RiRi for serving us something different, but we can't shake the slight feeling of mild dissapointment. We think it's a grower. Check it out yourself, what do you think?

So...when's the 3 music video out?

*twiddles thumbs*

Okay, it's no secret that '3' has performed very nicely for Britney Jean in the past week, garnering her a third shiny number one. However, as the song has so far performed excellently on just word of mouth, radio play and a slightly dodgy single cover, it's high time that the 'B team' break out the big guns in the form of the music video!

A lot of fans thought that today was the date of the premiere due to a press release which has reportedly been confirmed as a fake, leading to ever chirpy Britney informant 'Brittanica' posting the following...

'LOL @ fans telling me to 'WAKE UP BITCH!' I'm up. :) The '3' video premiere date has not been announced, FYI! xx'

Kay 'Tannica but hurry up! The song needs promo to keep it at the top and we all know this is all we're getting!

///A very good song by the Tisdizzle...///

Below is a little song I'm very much loving at the moment, Ashley Tisdale's 'Hot Mess' taken from her current album 'Guilty Pleasure' which I inadvertently stumbled across thinking it was her new single (Which is actually 'Crank It Up' FYI)

The track is about the current trend of car crash celebrity and 2007 style Britney tabloid shenanigans (PLEASE never let me use that word again!) and Ashley scrutinizes how *insert female celebrity here* is 'parked in the driveway, parked sideways','waking up in her bra and her makeup' and generally acting a little bit like a Hot Mess funnily enough. MAKE IT A SINGLE MR RECORD COMPANY MAN!

Listen to the track! And check the sidebar on the proper YouTube link if you REALLY love it ;)

ATis's album 'Guilty Pleasure' is out now folks!

Timbaland's 'Morning After Dark' artwork released. Don't get excited!

A tour de force of emotion!

Here's the track if you've not heard it! It's similarly just 'okay' on first lesson, perhaps it's a grower!?

A x

And then there was this...

A lot had been made about Whitney Houstens first performance on UK shores in ten years when she was scheduled to drop in to the X Factor studios to perform her current Alicia Keys penned track 'Million Dollar Bill', however Whitters came off a little oddly both throughout the performance and the subsequent mini interview with Dermot afterwards.

Whilst Whitney certainly doesn't deserve the 'oh she's back on crack' comments that have begun to surface following this performance, we have to admit that in between her dress starting to fall off, then carrying it around with her for three quarters of the song and her constant reliance on her rather large posse of background singers, Whitney came off slightly less than a million dollars. 55p and a Toffee crisp perhaps - I jest! She can still hit some of those big notes for sure and she looked gorgeous!

Cheryl fight fight fight fights off the hataz

It was undeniable that this time last week Cheryl Cole was shitting herself about the debut performance of her first solo song 'Fight For This Love' on the very stage that she would be watching contestants and giving her opinion about their vocals. However, right now we hope she's giving herself a nice big pat on the back (she'll have to be careful mind wearing that spiky military outfit)

Defying many moaning critics who were predictably predicting a hypocritical three minute mime-a-thon from the X Factor judge, Cheryl absolutely ROCKED the X Factor studio this evening (or to be more precise, when ever it was that they recorded the performance - it was filmed hours before it was shown!)

Wearing her customised red military jacket and accompanying pilot style hat and backed by a mahoosive crowd of backing dancers, I'd say Cheryl proved all the 'hataz' wrong in this case. Well played Ms. Cole, enjoy your millenia long stint at number one!

Check out her performance!

Snippet of Britney's 3 remix b-side!

The first official remix to have been confirmed for Britney's current number 1 hit '3' (these numbers are going to catch me out one day!) is the 'Mike Rizzo Groove Police Remix' *ahem*

It will be featured as the b-side to '3' on the deluxe box set version of Britney's Singles Collection and will therefore be included on both the digital and physical singles when they are eventually released later in the month!

And here is a clip of what you can expect from the remix courtesy of Mike Rizzo's website! Sounds pretty hot! This surely must be a hard track to remix!

A x

Britney's '3' scaling the Mediabase chart!

Britney's new single '3' -currently sitting comfortably on top of the US Billboard chart having scored her her third number one- is showing no signs of slowing down on both radio and iTunes in the USA!

The track has leapt from the mid twenties to being at number 17 on US radio spin tracking chart Mediabase in the past few days following the song hitting number 1 and the song is maintaining it's position at the pinnacle of the iTunes overall Top Songs chart.

The song is said to currently be only 60 spins away from skipping straight to the 13 position so with the song steadily rising on the radio -which factors into a songs overall chart position on American charts- and Britney still managing to fend off competition from acts like Miley Cyrus, not to mention next weeks (hopeful) video release, could B see herself in command of the Billboard Hot 100 for a second week!?

We hope so!

Madonna hates hearing 'Like A Virgin' apparently *fanbase implodes*

Now Madonna's been in the game longer than most pop artists still big (well not in the US) today and apparently 30 odd years of hearing the same songs is starting to bug her!

She has made her distaste for some of her songs clear in her recent 'Rolling Stone' interview where she referred to some of her classic hits such as 'Cherish' and even modern fan favourites like 2005's 'Sorry' as 'retarded' but according to recent reports it's one of her best known tracks 'Like a Virgin' that she is really tired of hearing! Of her relationship with the song she has allegedly said:

'Not to toot my own horn but they always play my old stuff when I'm in a shop or wherever. They are usually songs I am really sick of though, and I have to say, 'Oh, please turn this off'.For some reason people think that when you go to a restaurant or you are going shopping that you want to hear one of your own songs. It's usually 'Like A Virgin' - and that is the one I don't want to hear.'

Fair enough, having one song following you around for so long must be a bit irritating but MORE TO THE POINT can anyone picture Madonna saying the words 'toot my own horn'!? Grain of salt people, massive grain of salt.

But if it is true, don't forget your roots Madge! They're the songs that got you where you are today!

Don't Call My Name, Don't Call My name...Lady Gaga

A week or two a go a snippet of an unknown Lady Gaga song titled 'Don't Call My Name' was leaked out into the blogosphere which has now confirmed to be a track called 'Alejandro' which has leaked in full from the upcoming 'The Fame Monster' re-release of her debut album.

The track is a move away from the cheap and slightly samely production of some of the original 'The Fame's tracks (I'm looking at you 'Money Honey', you too 'I Like It Rough') and blends in some crunchy Eastern European sounding synths and takes a VERY welcome break from the incessent lyrical styling of the original album (Usually akin to 'I LOVE MONEY I LOVE FAME BOYS BOYS BOYS DISCO STICK') to tell the tale of a relationship gone sour.

This track is exactly the progression I wanted Gagz to move towards, more serious yet still keeping the fun quirky styling that she has lended herself so well too. This Lady keeps getting better (speaking of, what's Christina up to?)

Check out the awsomeness below!

Sugababes 4.0 = Officially Quite Good

Now, we're more than aware that this isn't the most popular of opinions but we have to say we are loving the Sugababes new track 'About A Girl' and it's accompanying music video!

It's been a little under a month since last remaining original band member Keisha Buchanan was unceremoniously booted out of the band due to mysterious inter-band drama and replaced in a manner that seems to have comprised of this years UK Eurovision entry and fledgling popstar Jade Ewen being poached from her home (and record label!), bunged into a white van, and flown to America to shoot the video for the 'About A Girl', the second release from the band's upcoming seventh studio album 'Sweet Seven' [/dramatisation]

Despite the seemingly chaotic timing for the group shake-up and backlash following Keisha's booting, you have to give the 'Babez -and Jade in particular- major props for effortlessly pulling off (minus a few Jade/Amelle chorus mouthing continuity errors) such a slick and stylish video.

Because the record label are just wanting to piss me right off, embedding has been disabled by request on all of the videos so clickity click the link below to see Heidi, Amelle and Jade (and Jade's legs!) in action!

Leona machine grinds to a halt

Following on from yesterdays drama, Leona Lewis has allegedly cancelled all immediate promotional engagements for her upcoming sophomore album 'Echo' and current single 'Happy'.

Leona, who was attacked (punched or slapped is what's going around) whilst signing copies of her new autobiography 'Dreams' in UK book retailer Waterstones yesterday by a man currently in custody and known as Peter, is said to be distraught and recovering from the incident which has been said to have left her 'understandibly shaken'.

Her upcoming European promo tour has been reportedly thrown into jeopardy following the assault, including a trip to Germany later in the week. More as we get it. We wish you well Leona!

Boyle gets buff

In what is surely the main story on the front pages of papers around the world, Susan Boyle has reportedly taken up boxing as way of relieving stress following the media's intrusion into her life.

According to an 'exclusive source' for 'The Sun' (wait! come back!) Susan has; '" been pretty stressed out by the whole worldwide fame thing and needed something to get her head straight, She was taken to a boxing gym and loved it. She put on the gloves and the boots and did some working out on a punch bag. She is a boxing fan but had never tried it before."

Lovely.

Britney Roundup!

Geez you wait a week for any Britney related news to slip through Jive's massive cracks *ahem* and then it all comes at once, while your sleeping at that!

OKAY so first things first...

Britney is OFFICIALLY number one on the US Billboard chart this week with '3'. As previously reported here, the track sold over 255,000 copies of the song in the US this week, giving BritBrit her third number one in the US! About time she got some too, considering her only others were '...Hit Me Baby' and 'Womanizer'!

Britney celebrated with the following tweets:

I want to thank my fans for making ‘3’ the # 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. I am truly blessed with the greatest fans in the world.'

and...

I am so happy y’all love it because I do this all for you. I can’t wait till you see the video! -Britney

Sweet!

Secondly, the standard edition of the singles collection has been bumped up two weeks in the release schedule in the US and will be released on November 10th to avoid a crushing from the Adam Lambert, Susan Boyle, Rihanna and the 1001 other acts who seem to be releasing an album on November 24th!

Oh and thirdly...

Jive released these shots of the upcoming 3 music video, revealing a simplistic black and white styling with sexy outfits a la Ciara's 'Love.Sex.Magic' (same director) and even ANOTHER plug for Britney's perfume line (spot it in the last photo?) Looking good B!

Leona Lewis gets slapped...or is it punched?...or maybe both!?

Yesterday, at a Waterstones book signing for her new autobiography 'Dreams', Leona Lewis got 'Happy' (sorry!) slapped by a random 'fan' (or as some tabloids would have you beleive, got viciously punched in the head by a 'thug' and rushed for emergancy work at Harley Street)

Leona's spokesman has claimed that the X Factor 2007 champion had been signing autographed copies of her book for around 90 minutes when 'a guy came up and punched her to the side of the head'

So punched then?

An onlooker described the scene...well in the words of her brother: 'My brother saw the whole incident. He [the attacker] walked up there with the book, she signed it and, as she looked up, he just punched her.'

Right, punched then.
Leona was then said to have 'run out with her hand over her eye' as the attacker was 'jumped on' by security as they tried 'to pull him out' of the store . Disturbingly, the attacker was said to have been 'just laughing, he thought it was funny.'

Above is a amateur footage taken of the aftermath, Leona being shuffled out by security as other members pounce on the twattish attacker.

Of ALL the people in the world this could've happened to, who would've thought Leona would be a target for anyone!? Poor girl, we hope this hasn't shaken her up TOO badly, we all know she isn't always that high in the confidence stakes as it is!
Leona's album 'Echo' will be released next month.

It's Susan Bitch

Coming second on Britain's Got Talent this year obviously hasn't done Susan Boyle too much harm!

Her debut album 'I Dreamed A Dream' (dreamt surely!? Grammar fail?) is gearing up to be released on November 24th and has already rocketed up the Amazon Best-seller lists on both sides of the pond on pre-release sales alone! Simon will be laughing all the way to the bank! Susan will probably do something like the above photo, possibly with her trademark 'thigh flash'

The tracklisting and album cover have been recently unveiled, revealing a plucked and generally 'tidied up' Suzie...

'Wild Horses'
'I Dreamed A Dream'
'Cry Me A River'
'How Great Thou Art'
'You'll See'
'Daydream Believer'
'Up To The Mountain'

Britney's Singles Collection CD/DVD cover released!

The cover art for the CD/DVD version of the upcoming Britney Spears Singles Collection has been released and it looks...exactly like the CD version but with a distinctly different colour scheme...

(okay well it's purple instead of black)

In the overall Jive/Britney art scheme scale it doesn't rank as a full 'Blackout' turdfest but it's certainly no 'Britney'!

The CD will gather Britney's greatest hits of the past ten years on one disc, from '...Baby One More Time' to 'Oops...' to 'Gimme More' to 'Radar' (good news for anyone who doesn't already own this hard to obtain track - I jest!) and includes a selection of 15 of her videos!

Hmm. Still rather own 'My Prerogative: Greatest Hits' than this to be honest!

Robbie Williams : 'I loved my X Factor performance' (uh yeah...about that...)

Well Robbie may have enjoyed his debut performance of his new single 'Bodies' on Sunday's X Factor results show, it certainly made for uncomfortable viewing for the rest of us!

Looking incredibly wide-eyed and flitting about the stage like a moth to the radiant light of Cheryl's hair, Robbie put on a bit of an awkard rendition of his first single in three years to an eager crowd (I swear those dramatic entrance videos rile them into a frenzy, either that or Simon has a quick whip round with a cattle prod during each performance)

Check out la video! (None of them are allowed to be embedded for some reason, just click on the link in an early 2005 fashion)

Hmm. Never the less, Robbie has said he 'loved' the performance saying;

"Then the mouth opened and by the grace of the big man himself the right words fell out. Oh praise be! I'm in! So after a bizarrely odd start to the 3.30 minutes I started to find my feet.
"The audience were Immense and the Love in the room was palpable. It all felt so electric. Like three years of anxiety leaving my body. So happy right now, so pleased. I think the boy's back"

I'm all for confidence but let's not go nuts Robbie. What does everybody think?

All I want for Christmas is Mimi's Mama

It's coming up for that time of year again, the advent calenders are already out in shops(I saw them in early september!!) the temperatures dropped to a mildy nipple-raising level of chilliness and Primarks started stocking wrapping paper, so logically it's only going to be a matter of time before Mariah Carey's festive classic 'All I Want For Christmas' blaring from the radio/TV/mobile phones of Britain.

However, not content with inevitably re-entering the charts with just this one festive tune, Mimi has planned to record a brand new Christmas song - with a little help from her Mama!

'I’m going to record another Christmas song, with my mother. I’m going to sing in my style, and she is going to sing operatic, which is her style,”

PREPARE YOUR EARDRUMS NOW!

Mimi's signature wailing can be piercing enough without any assistance from an operatic mother!

Just stick some reigndeer bells over 'Obsessed', we'll let you off. 'Ho,ho,hooooooo, ho ho, hooooooo....obsessed'

Lady Gaga covers 'Imagine' for a serious cause!

Last night at the HRC National Dinner 2009, Gaga took a stand against homophobia both within the music industry (Hey 50) and society and performed a cover of the Jon Lennon classic 'Imagine'.

In a word: well.

In my opinion, Miss Burke provided a show stopping performance on tonights X Factor results show, reminding us all why she was deserving of winning last years crown. She looked great, sounded great, and even managed do a bit of choreography.

All in all, Alex = win.

Tonight's the night for Alexandra Burke!

At the moment we imagine Alexandra Burke is hysterically laughing/crying/panicking in her trademark over-excited style somewhere in the X Factor studios land as she gears up for tonights debut performance of 'Bad Boys' on tonights live results show. The performance -which will be Alexandra's first live televised performance since just under a year ago when she herself was crowned X Factor winner 09- will be in support of her lead single from debut album 'Overcome' which has already shot to the number one spot on UK iTunes when it was released last night!

People were debating whether Alex would be able to topple the comeback buzz surrounding Robbie Williams and his track 'Bodies', which hit the iTunes store at the same time last night however it appears that Alex will have no problem, having already jumped ahead of him on the iTunes top songs chart whilst 'Bodies' sticks at number 3.

HOWEVER this could all change. Robbie is also scheduled to perform on tonights live show, I guess it all comes down to who puts on the best show-stopping performance! Rumours are that Alex will be getting a little helping hand tonight courtesy of Flo Rida who jetted into the UK last night!

Good luck Alex!

'P!nks' I Don't Believe You - (In Shit-o-vision!)

Here ladies and gentlemen, is the official music video for P!nk's fifth single from platinum selling fifth album 'Funhouse'. Following on from 'So What', 'Sober', 'Please Don't Leave Me' and 'Funhouse' (How long ago does it seem that So What was released!? Crazy!) the video is suitably sumptous features P!nk as a gothic-y bride at her own seemingly empty wedding. Possible reasons for noone being at P!nk's wedding include:

1.) She's forgotten to send out the invites.

2.) She's boycotted showers and people are just fed up of the scent she is excuding.

OR 3.) It's just a general forlorn love symbolism video

We know which one we're going for.

Check out the LQ video, which will be updated when the HQ is floating about!

Dannii, Dannii, Dannii...

As a pop artist whose fanbase is largely made up of them, Dannii certainly almost risked losing a lot of her gay fans on tonights 'X Factor'!

As the show was drawing to a close and final contestant Danyl Johnson (pronounced 'Daniel' but with an 'edgy' 'y') performed a gender reversal rendition of 'And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going', Dannii made the faux pas of mentioning his sexuality to a bewildered and unknowing crowd!

Commenting after his performance she said; 'If we are to believe everything we read in the papers last week maybe you didn't need to change the gender reference in it'

*cue tumbleweed blowing through the studio*

Witness the awkwardness yourselves!

Thing is, nobody in the audience seemed to have heard about Danyl's bisexuality, leading to neither a positive or negative reaction but a deathly silence which seemed to last for an eternity as we watched Danyl squirm. Many are up in arms about Dannii's comment, logging complaints with TV moderator Ofcom and even spamming her wikipedia page, referrning to her as a homophobe!

Time for some damage control!

New Danja demo for Britney Spears

FIRST THINGS FIRST! Stop hyperventilating, it isn't Britney singing the track HOWEVER the source of this alleged demo is the same one which provided the Ravaugn demo for Madonna's 'Revolver' some months ago.

The track, entitled 'Monster' (seems to be the in thing right now doesn't it?) was reportedly intended for Britney to record and was apparently produced by Danja. Now, normally I'm very dubious when it comes to this sort of 'demo', usually it ends up that some miscellaneous singer is out looking for exposure by claiming to be somebody else (Stand up, Eva Simons!) however given that the source is apparently reliable and that I could totally hear Britney singing this track I think this track deserves a listen.

If this track IS legitimate and is some sort of 'Circus' reject (we'll keep you updated if anything emerges) I'd say it should've definately made the album, if only so we could hear Britney crack out the British accent for the 'I'm a beast, I'm a monster' backing vocals during the chorus!

'Go Baby Go Baby Go (To America?)'

In what appears to be a bid for American success, British band The Noisettes (known for being 'big' this year with their singles 'Don't Upset The Rhythm (Go Baby Go') and 'Never Forget You') have reswizzled their debut hit with the help of American Rapper Wale and 'American Boy' songstress Estelle and 'Production Team Of The Moment' RedOne (of Gaga,Little Boots and...er Enrique Iglesias fame)

Not sure what to make of this as I loved the original! But they've certainly gone all out for this one! Listen to the track HERE

Lady Gaga's new artwork is well titled!

Here we are lady's and gents, Lady Gaga's 'The Fame Monster' cover has been unveiled to an eager public. And it's not really...monstrous. Let's take a look shall we?

The scariest thing about this cover is the millenium dome hair cut, but props to the Lady for not going down the obvious 'gore' root many were expecting. I fully expect this will look lovely in a proper CD ca...wait...what...what...what IS that!?!?

*WOMEN SCREAM, CHILDREN CRY, CROWDS FLEE, PEOPLE THROW HOLY WATER*

I TAKE IT BACK! THE FIRST WAS SCARY ENOUGH!
And there, ladies and gentlemen you have Lady Gaga's 'The Fame Monster' artwork. If you leave the room do her eyes follow you?
