Oh please...

Media regulator and personal therapist to the ever whining nation Ofcom have reportedly received a number of complaints following Cheryl Cole and Whitney Housten's performances on Sunday's X Factor results show.

Apparently, 32 people (shit! do some damage control Simon -hah!) put the effort in and picked up the dog and bone (phone, people, that'll be a phone - Cockney rhyming slang guv'ner!) to complain that the pairs performance's (which were billed as live) were in fact mimed. Or shit(which they were not)

Further complaints even cited Whitney's admittedly odd behaviour during the mini post-performance interview as a source of distress (cue reaction shots of people fainting)

Seriously people... just bitch on a forum like the rest of us if you're that greived!

And then there was this...

A lot had been made about Whitney Houstens first performance on UK shores in ten years when she was scheduled to drop in to the X Factor studios to perform her current Alicia Keys penned track 'Million Dollar Bill', however Whitters came off a little oddly both throughout the performance and the subsequent mini interview with Dermot afterwards.

Whilst Whitney certainly doesn't deserve the 'oh she's back on crack' comments that have begun to surface following this performance, we have to admit that in between her dress starting to fall off, then carrying it around with her for three quarters of the song and her constant reliance on her rather large posse of background singers, Whitney came off slightly less than a million dollars. 55p and a Toffee crisp perhaps - I jest! She can still hit some of those big notes for sure and she looked gorgeous!

Cheryl fight fight fight fights off the hataz

It was undeniable that this time last week Cheryl Cole was shitting herself about the debut performance of her first solo song 'Fight For This Love' on the very stage that she would be watching contestants and giving her opinion about their vocals. However, right now we hope she's giving herself a nice big pat on the back (she'll have to be careful mind wearing that spiky military outfit)

Defying many moaning critics who were predictably predicting a hypocritical three minute mime-a-thon from the X Factor judge, Cheryl absolutely ROCKED the X Factor studio this evening (or to be more precise, when ever it was that they recorded the performance - it was filmed hours before it was shown!)

Wearing her customised red military jacket and accompanying pilot style hat and backed by a mahoosive crowd of backing dancers, I'd say Cheryl proved all the 'hataz' wrong in this case. Well played Ms. Cole, enjoy your millenia long stint at number one!

Check out her performance!

Robbie Williams : 'I loved my X Factor performance' (uh yeah...about that...)

Well Robbie may have enjoyed his debut performance of his new single 'Bodies' on Sunday's X Factor results show, it certainly made for uncomfortable viewing for the rest of us!

Looking incredibly wide-eyed and flitting about the stage like a moth to the radiant light of Cheryl's hair, Robbie put on a bit of an awkard rendition of his first single in three years to an eager crowd (I swear those dramatic entrance videos rile them into a frenzy, either that or Simon has a quick whip round with a cattle prod during each performance)

Check out la video! (None of them are allowed to be embedded for some reason, just click on the link in an early 2005 fashion)

Hmm. Never the less, Robbie has said he 'loved' the performance saying;

"Then the mouth opened and by the grace of the big man himself the right words fell out. Oh praise be! I'm in! So after a bizarrely odd start to the 3.30 minutes I started to find my feet.
"The audience were Immense and the Love in the room was palpable. It all felt so electric. Like three years of anxiety leaving my body. So happy right now, so pleased. I think the boy's back"

I'm all for confidence but let's not go nuts Robbie. What does everybody think?

Alex update: How did she do!?

In a word: well.

In my opinion, Miss Burke provided a show stopping performance on tonights X Factor results show, reminding us all why she was deserving of winning last years crown. She looked great, sounded great, and even managed do a bit of choreography.

All in all, Alex = win.

What did YOU think!?

Check out her performance!

Tonight's the night for Alexandra Burke!

At the moment we imagine Alexandra Burke is hysterically laughing/crying/panicking in her trademark over-excited style somewhere in the X Factor studios land as she gears up for tonights debut performance of 'Bad Boys' on tonights live results show. The performance -which will be Alexandra's first live televised performance since just under a year ago when she herself was crowned X Factor winner 09- will be in support of her lead single from debut album 'Overcome' which has already shot to the number one spot on UK iTunes when it was released last night!

People were debating whether Alex would be able to topple the comeback buzz surrounding Robbie Williams and his track 'Bodies', which hit the iTunes store at the same time last night however it appears that Alex will have no problem, having already jumped ahead of him on the iTunes top songs chart whilst 'Bodies' sticks at number 3.

HOWEVER this could all change. Robbie is also scheduled to perform on tonights live show, I guess it all comes down to who puts on the best show-stopping performance! Rumours are that Alex will be getting a little helping hand tonight courtesy of Flo Rida who jetted into the UK last night!

Good luck Alex!

Dannii, Dannii, Dannii...

As a pop artist whose fanbase is largely made up of them, Dannii certainly almost risked losing a lot of her gay fans on tonights 'X Factor'!

As the show was drawing to a close and final contestant Danyl Johnson (pronounced 'Daniel' but with an 'edgy' 'y') performed a gender reversal rendition of 'And I'm Telling You I'm Not Going', Dannii made the faux pas of mentioning his sexuality to a bewildered and unknowing crowd!

Commenting after his performance she said; 'If we are to believe everything we read in the papers last week maybe you didn't need to change the gender reference in it'

*cue tumbleweed blowing through the studio*

Witness the awkwardness yourselves!

Thing is, nobody in the audience seemed to have heard about Danyl's bisexuality, leading to neither a positive or negative reaction but a deathly silence which seemed to last for an eternity as we watched Danyl squirm. Many are up in arms about Dannii's comment, logging complaints with TV moderator Ofcom and even spamming her wikipedia page, referrning to her as a homophobe!

Time for some damage control!
